Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The master bedroom has a solid oak, super king-size bed, en suite bathroom with shower and free-standing tub, and sliding glass doors opening onto the large, decked balcony; there is an additional spacious double room with king-size bed; another double with a cabin bed, flat-screen TV and DVD player; a ground floor twin bedroom complete with original oak floors, hand-woven rug and 1920s-style brass beds. Each of the upstairs bedrooms boast sea views and beds which are dressed with goosedown pillows and 100% Egyptian cotton linen and towels. There are three bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom; the family bathroom has a double-ended bath, whilst the en suite shower room in the downstairs twin room has a large walk-in shower.
The lush sloping garden is almost an acre in size and completely enclosed. Offering stunning coastal views over the bay and beyond, on a clear day you can see as far as Portland Bill. As well as the sprawling terrace with loungers, a barbecue and seating area right at the ocean’s edge, there is an inner courtyard for alfresco dining, sheltered from the sea breeze. The pièce de résistance in the outdoor haven is a large hot tub surrounded by decking, dropping dramatically onto the bottom lawn - a perfect space for badminton or ball games! There is also a small lawn at the front of the property, planted with a surround of pretty shrubs.
Sink into the teak recliners or the swing seat on the bottom lawn, soothe away stress in the hot tub over-looking the bay, or get cosy in the fabulous library where you can get stuck into the range of books or simply stare out to sea. Relax on the sofas and take-in the ocean views through the picture window in the open-plan kitchen/dining/living area.
There is parking for three cars in front of the house. There is an assortment of things for the beach including nets, buckets & spades, windbreaks, beach towels and umbrella. There is also a boot room with washing machine, tumble dryer with space for wellies and coats. In clement weather the gardener may need to visit the property outside of the changeover day. Please note- dogs are only allowed downstairs and not in the bedrooms, sitting room or on sofas/chairs.
Enjoy far-reaching coastal views from the vantage point of the large, open-plan kitchen. Fully equipped for a luxury self-catering holiday for all levels of cook, it is decked out with a five-ringed gas hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge/freezer (with filtered water and ice maker). The dining room can accommodate up to eight of your nearest and dearest, and has a picture window for dolphin spotting!
If you'd rather spend your self-catering break indulging in the little luxuries, let an in-house chef prepare a mouth-watering meal for you and your party (on prior request and subject to an additional cost).
